Oro La Senda: the olive oil from La Solana that conquered the world
En Made in Spain Gourmet we always look for products that not only stand out for their quality but also tell a story, that move people and connect with our community. And Oro La Senda is one of those treasures. From La Solana, in Ciudad Real, this extra virgin olive oil has managed to position itself among the healthiest and most valued in the world, with international recognition that speaks of excellence and family passion.
A family legacy transformed into excellence
Behind this liquid gold there are no giant corporations or multimillion-dollar advertising campaigns. There is a family —the Jaime brothers— who decided to continue the path set by their father Alfonso, who in 2005 converted his olive groves to organic farming.
"Each award renews our father's spirit," admits Manuel Jaime, CEO of the olive mill. "It inspires us to keep working with humility, courage and passion to hand down a sustainable and authentic project to future generations."
In every drop of Oro La Senda beats their father's memory and the strength of a legacy that follows roots rather than trends.
From olive to bottle in less than eight hours
What sets this EVOO apart is not only its flavor but the care behind every decision. The olive trees are grown under certified organic practices, with no pesticides or chemicals. Harvesting is almost entirely manual and only the most perfect fruits reach the mill.
In less than eight hours after harvest, the olive is transformed into oil through a process that combines tradition and state-of-the-art technology: crushers with oxygen control, stainless steel tanks and climate-controlled cellars that preserve the oil like a treasure, safeguarding aromas, phenolic compounds and freshness.
"Every detail matters: from vertical malaxation to storage in complete darkness. Everything is designed so that every drop is extraordinary," explains Manuel.

Designation and the soul of La Mancha
The EVOO from Oro La Senda holds the Denomination of Origin Campos de Montiel and the Campo y Alma seal, reflecting its connection to the land. For the Jaime brothers, this oil is much more than a product: it is authenticity, sustainability, health, and culture.
"We want to convey respect for the olive grove, family passion, and care in every detail, to carry from field to table the purest essence of our work," adds Manuel.
A name that reflects a journey
The name Oro La Senda is no coincidence: it symbolizes the path traveled, the steps of several generations who, with humility and hard work, have turned tradition into excellence. The modern mill we visit today is the culmination of that dream: a space where technology and tradition join hands to create an EVOO recognized worldwide.
From the heart of La Mancha to Michelin kitchens
Today, this oil is not only enjoyed in La Solana. It can be found in gourmet shops and on the tables of chefs with Michelin Stars, who use it for its freshness, vegetal intensity, and unique texture.
"EVOO is not simply olive oil: it is health, culture, and distinction on the table. The only way to understand it is to taste it," Manuel invites.
A future of olive oil tourism and international expansion
International recognition has not made them lose their Manchegan essence. They want to open the mill's doors to the world through olive oil tourism, so that every visitor can experience witnessing the birth of an exceptional oil.
"We will continue to promote an extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) of the highest quality, but always with ecological sensitivity. We want more people to discover our passion," says Manuel.
Tradition and natural medicine
For Manuel Jaime, EVOO is tradition and natural medicine. And perhaps therein lies its true value: it is not just food, it is culture, health, and memory. A journey that begins in the olive groves of La Solana and reaches the most demanding tables in the world, with the humility of someone who knows that the extraordinary begins in the simple.
