Mediterranean canned tuna, all in red... Wild!

Although canned goods remain an inexpensive option for many people, that has long been a thing of the past. They have become a true delicacy in their own right, and the range of gourmet canned products keeps growing… for the better. Among fish preserves, today we put everything on red, as if we were at the roulette table of the grand Casino de Monte Carlo. The Bluefin Tuna from the Bay of Cádiz stands out among our favorites. Nothing to do with the yellow fin or yellowfin tuna. This one has a very characteristic reddish color that already makes it special, but its texture and flavor also make it indispensable among the finest gourmet products produced in Spain. You’ll find that they can be caught in two ways: by almadraba — this means fishing boats surround the tuna with nets and slowly tighten the circle, with divers among them, and the fish are taken with a hook/gaff. The other, more traditional method is rod-and-line fishing, where a light electric shock is carefully applied to the tuna, causing it to perish — one could say — in an even gentler way. They are still little known to the general public, although true gourmands already know how to recognize them, making them one of our best-selling products. We recommend trying them as soon as possible, and you’ll notice they are simply unique. Spain, our beloved Spain, never ceases to offer us treasures of incalculable and incomparable value. Let’s hope we all get to enjoy them in this life Because Made in Spain is Quality [caption id="attachment_29147" align="aligncenter" width="800"]Mediterranean tuna preserves, all in red… Wild! The best taste of the sea arrives from Made in Spain Gourmet to your home. The ventresca is one of the best parts of the tuna, halfway between lean and fatty. As the portion with the highest content of unsaturated fats (omega-3), it is also the pinkest and most buttery cut of the tuna — without a doubt the best tuna in the world, and like many other Spanish products we do not fully appreciate the very high value they possess. With a slightly lower fat percentage than the ventresca (semi-fat), the tarantelo is characterized by its reddish appearance, meatiness, and spectacular flavor. The olive oil used as the covering liquid provides oleic acid. The combination of the two results in a food that is extraordinarily beneficial for health. In salads it reaches a spectacular level of quality. Pairing it with good white wines becomes the ideal complement. The most gastronomically rewarding part of the bluefin tuna offers a delicate, refined flavor when you taste this ventresca with its gelatinous texture. Its preservation in organic extra virgin olive oil elevates this fish to the highest excellence — you’ll enjoy it for its exceptional quality. We recommend it with a good sherry, such as manzanilla or fino. [caption id="attachment_29150" align="aligncenter" width="800"]Mediterranean tuna preserves, all in red… Wild! Versatility and flavor are what the most perfectly fatty part of the bluefin tuna brings to this preserve from El Ronqueo, bathed in organic extra virgin olive oil. This perfect “liquid gold” accompanies this traditional, high-quality Almadraba-caught fish from the coast of Barbate (Cádiz). Spanish white wines — all are excellent on our website.
