Next to the winery, on the other bank of the river, in the hills of Pesquera, we find its vineyards planted on more limestone-rich soils. The priority at Tr3smano is to produce only grapes of exceptional quality, with optimal ripeness. That is why it is essential to control every process, from winter pruning to deciding the exact moment of harvest. Only in this way can the quality levels needed to create unique wines be achieved.
Only in special circumstances can an olive tree live for more than a thousand years. Surviving wars, cataclysms, crises. Only in special circumstances are they able to craft this wine, born from a selection within the selection.
In exceptional years, they vinify the grapes from some of their vineyards separately.
Their wine is aged in a special series of barrels that are tasted month after month by Fernando and Pedro. In the end, only some of these barrels retain sufficient quality to be blended and bottled.
The wine’s average time in barrel exceeds 24 months. They cannot guarantee either the number of bottles each year, or in which vintages the wine will finally see the light of day.
What they do guarantee, however, is that each of these bottles is a great work of art, well worth enjoying.
