Kylatt, Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Novacoop

KYLATT is a “Special Selection” extra virgin olive oil made from Arbequina olives grown in specially selected groves. It is produced from Arbequina olives harvested at dawn in early October to preserve their freshness, then cold-pressed immediately after harvesting.

An oil with aromas of freshly cut grass and notes of green almond, fennel, and green walnut.

El Molí d’Alcanó, part of Grup Cooperatiu Fruits de Ponent, keeps the cooperative spirit intact, understood as the combined efforts of its members and farmers to offer the best services and quality products. El Molí, which belongs to Cooperativa Camp d’Alcarràs, means that all the oils it produces are superior-category extra virgin olive oils. El Molí d’Alcanó was founded in 2015 as the result of the takeover of Cooperativa d’Alcanó by Cooperativa Camp d’Alcarràs i Secció de Crèdit SCCL, as part of an inter-cooperative initiative designed to ensure the future viability and sustainability of this infrastructure, as well as that of its members and their families. Since then, Camp d’Alcarràs i Secció de Crèdit has renovated and modernized the facilities located in the village of Alcanó, with the aim of making the olive mill a benchmark for sustainability. Camp d’Alcarràs i Secció de Crèdit SCCL has a social network of around 180 member family units. As regards the olive-growing section, it is a cooperative with 75 years of history spanning different agriculture-based business areas: fruit, nuts, cereals, and olive oil. Its fundamental principle is the ability to serve its members and safeguard the future viability of their businesses.

The land

Earlier generations of farmer members passed on to today’s farmers a love for the land: a land of olive trees and almond trees, the area’s typical crops. Product quality and excellence are two standards that are always present at El Molí, as is sustainability, understood as the care of the fields and the fruit, as well as the entire production process.

The olives come from Alcanó and other municipalities in Segrià, such as Sunyer, Alcarràs i Torres de Segre. This geographic diversity results in a unique palette of flavors, reflecting the diversity and richness of the land of Ponent. Every drop of olive oil from this mill bears witness to the unity of the region and its commitment to sustainability.
