Tasting notes: Mas Montseny extra virgin olive oil is made with 100% Arbequina olives. It is olive juice in which the distinctive character of Arbequina emerges naturally: fundamentally fruity, sweet and smooth. With a more mindful tasting, you will notice aromas of almond, fennel and fresh grass.

Mas Montseny

Like many traditional Catalan farming families, Mas Montseny began in the mid-19th century, when the first member of the Catà lineage arrived at the farmhouse to work as a caretaker, alongside his children. At the beginning of the 20th century, one of the grandsons, Pep Montseny, bought the house and the land. He, together with his son José Catá Sendrós, the godfather of the current generation, convinced the owners of seven farmhouses in the area to agree to work as a cooperative, and together they built a stone mill to produce oil for the seven rural homes. Mas de San Ramón, Mas de la Tocino, Mas de la Pegalós, Mas de Caballero, Mas Santamaria, La Torre de Fàbregas, and Mas Montseny joined forces. Mas Montseny is one of those companies we fall in love with at Made in Spain Gourmet, because they know how to stay ahead of their time and create new trends in order to remain competitive.
