Alemany Muscatel Sweet-and-Sour Vinegar with Orange Blossom Honey is a product from our gourmet family, made with organic vinegar from Muscatel grapes by Vinagres Badia and our quintessential Mediterranean honey, orange blossom honey. The grape, with its sweet fragrance and flavor, blends perfectly with the citrusy, slightly tart aroma of orange.

This sweet-and-sour vinegar, with no added sulfites, is the result of constant innovation, of always preserving our traditional essence, and of the inspiration we find in everything around us. This fusion of Mediterranean aromas and flavors is the perfect accompaniment to all kinds of salads and has already impressed at the international Great Taste Awards.

Orange blossom is the white flower of the orange tree, known for its beauty and its exciting, captivating aroma.

Our Orange Blossom Honey is made by bees mainly from the nectar of orange blossoms. It is a honey with great character, with a strong citrus profile and tangy notes. The arrival of spring in the Mediterranean brings us this jewel that stimulates all the senses. It is a great source of energy, rich in minerals such as potassium, contains fructose and glucose, and is an excellent alternative to sugar in infusions or desserts.

Natural and traditional medicine attributes sedative and anti-inflammatory properties to orange blossom, and it is used for headaches or neck pain, as well as to treat stomach problems, such as slow and heavy digestion, and to help combat anemia thanks to its high iron and potassium content.

Muscatel Sweet-and-Sour Vinegar with Orange Blossom Honey carries the BeeLab seal, Alemany’s R&D&I project. Our goal is to add value to honey, the ancestral sweetener from the dawn of humanity and the foundation of all our products. We do this by promoting research, development, and innovation in natural sweetness to help transform the local economy, always based on a green, sustainable, and digitalized economy, as well as local consumption.

The BeeLab seal identifies the company’s research, development, and innovation branch in collaboration with different local administrations, companies, and organizations, such as the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) in Solsona, the UdL, and IRTA, as well as family-run organizations and companies including Pastoret, Vinagres Badia, Cal Valls, and OliCastelló.

All the actions we carry out through the BeeLab project are part of our effort to “pollinate” public opinion, raising awareness of the importance of bees and presenting new paradigms for honey.

Alemany 1879

Five generations of honey and turrón In the town of Os de Balaguer (La Noguera), under the watchful presence of Montsec and its exceptional sky, Torrons i Mel Alemany has built a universe of sweets. For five generations, the Alemany family has crafted artisanal turrón and selected honey from the finest beekeepers. The story of Turrones y Miel Alemany began at the end of the 19th century, when Mrs. Mundeta made a caramel with local honey and nuts. Since Montsec is a harsh and difficult land for cultivation, this activity offered them a valuable alternative. The distinctive character of Alemany turrón comes from a 19th-century recipe that gives the paste its characteristic white color. Slow cooking, locally sourced nuts, and a carefully selected rosemary honey are part of the secret behind the turrón’s distinctive flavor. Alemany has specialized in monofloral honeys, sourced from beekeepers across the country. Innovation at Alemany comes through the concept of honey with added value, in its gourmet honey line. Alemany turrón and honey have been recognized with Great Taste Awards on several occasions, an accolade considered the Oscars of the delicatessen food world. In recent years, the company has developed new gourmet products such as vinegars, spreads, and chocolates, helping the brand become present in more and more countries every day.
