Tasting notes

Clear vermouth, straw-yellow in color with medium intensity. It offers a powerful nose, with balsamic and spicy aromas from the maceration of more than thirty aromatic herbs,

blended with caramelized notes, vanilla, and citrus aromas such as orange peel.

Sweet entry, dense and powerful on the palate, with balanced acidity and bitterness.

Serving temperature: 6-10º C

Pairing

Pairs perfectly as an aperitif with preserved fish and shellfish from Galicia, or exquisite bluefin tuna from the Strait. It is also fantastic on its own.

Latarce

Bodega Latarce is located right at the entrance to Toro, a land renowned for great wines and gastronomy. A devotion to the wines produced in this region led to the dream of creating our own exclusive wines. In 2006, the San José family decided to acquire its first vineyards and experiment with traditional winemaking methods, drawing on the experience of local oenologists and winegrowers. However, it was not until 2010 that the “Latarce” brand was created and registered. Over the following years, long-term contracts were formalized with winegrowers from some of the oldest and most representative vineyards in the area encompassed by the Toro Designation of Origin. The dream continued to grow and became tangible with the facilities of Bodegas y Viñedos Castillo Latarce, inaugurated in 2019. An estate of more than one hectare with magnificent facilities that evoke the old castle and walls of San Pedro de Latarce, a symbol of the defense of traditions. Its winery is the jewel of the house. A dream come true. Modern and innovative facilities, capable of combining values such as functionality, hygiene and, above all, our commitment to the environment as a way of life through renewable energy. They have well water from their own borehole, electricity supplied by photovoltaic panels, and a sewage system with their own treatment plant. A carefully tended space housing all the machinery required to craft our prized wines, with the latest technology and manual control, always committed to good taste and expert craftsmanship. They uphold strict standards of quality and exclusivity in all their creations. Their wines are highly appreciated by consumers seeking excellence in every bottle, which is why they maintain an unwavering commitment to quality throughout every process, from the vineyard itself to bottling and labeling, all carried out by hand. The vineyards of Bodega Latarce are spread across several areas within the Toro Designation of Origin. Ranging from 50 to more than 80 years old, the different vineyards shape the character and personality of our wines. Together with the distinctive qualities of the region’s soils, they give the wines an elegant and complex structure. To preserve respect for the terroir, the local winegrowers themselves are responsible for tending and maintaining the vines under the supervision of our winemaking team. In short, this is a winery that, on its own merits, holds a place of honor in our Made in Spain Gourmet store.
