Pairing Made in Spain Gourmet:

Fig and almond bread with walnuts is the ideal accompaniment for adding a sweet, natural touch with texture to your cheese boards. Its intense flavor and smoothness pair especially well with:

  • Blue cheeses (such as Cabrales, Gorgonzola, or Roquefort)
  • Aged sheep’s milk cheeses or mature Manchego
  • Soft-ripened goat cheeses
  • Washed-rind cheeses or intensely flavored cheeses

You can also enjoy it with foie gras, Iberian charcuterie, or as a natural snack paired with sweet wine, dry oloroso, port, or even a brut cava to contrast with its sweetness.

An exquisite, balanced, and wholesome bite that enhances any gourmet experience.

Lady Joseph

The story of the brand begins with the grandmother: Josephine, an elegant and determined woman. She fell in love with the owners’ grandfather one summer in Bordeaux, while he was learning to make French wine so he could bring that production back to La Rioja.

Her grandmother’s French charm made him fall completely at her feet, and within two months they decided to marry and move to Logroño.

There, in her new home, she began thinking about producing first-class products that could transport her back to her native France. In some things, such as her stubbornness, she always seemed more Spanish than French.

Josephine began by selecting the finest flours from local producers and recreating the recipes of her childhood. She perfected the recipe until she achieved elegant, delicate, crunchy biscuits, full of flavor. A healthy and unique product with which she delighted travelers stopping in Haro.

Josephine decided to open a tea room. There, she would sell what she made in her workshop, while creating a meeting place for neighbors, friends, and travelers staying overnight in Haro to catch the same train that carried her products to France.

Her tea room soon became an essential gathering place, not only because of the delicacies she served, but also because it was a friendly, avant-garde meeting point where one could hear about everything happening in the rest of Europe.

And this is where Josephine’s grandchildren come in: they wanted to continue the tradition and fulfill her great dream of sharing her wonderful creations with people all over the world. They preserve her original recipe and savoir-faire, as well as that world of dreams and memories they have sought to capture in their collection of biscuits and crackers.

And although life has evolved greatly and our world is more digital than ever, let us at least take care of the quality products and stories that keep our origins alive.
