A passion for organic cava

“Paraje Calificado Vallcirera”

The winery has recovered vines over sixty years old and planted traditional varieties such as Pansa Blanca and Mataró. All this while maintaining its commitment to quality and uniqueness, as certified by the recognition of one of its plots with the most premium category in the cava sector: “Paraje Calificado.” This means it is a unique product, born from a special and specific place, from a vineyard and an estate whose location and terroir set it apart from the rest.

Integral Producer

At the beginning of 2022, the Família Pujol-Busquets received the Elaborador Integral quality seal from D.O. Cava, which recognizes producers who make their wines 100% on the estate—from pressing to vinification—guaranteeing product traceability.

Alcohol: 12 % vol.

Aging: Minimum aging of 36-48 months in its underground cellars

Tasting note:

Appearance:
Alta Alella Laieta shows a bright golden-yellow color, with fine, persistent bubbles that rise elegantly in the glass, forming a delicate crown. The clarity and intensity of the color give a first impression of freshness and finesse.

Aroma:
On the nose, this cava stands out for its elegance and complexity. It offers a first impression of ripe fruit, such as green apple, peach, and citrus, accompanied by soft floral notes. After aeration, subtle bakery aromas appear, the result of bottle aging, adding further complexity with hints of toasted almond and yeast. This aromatic profile reflects the cava’s long aging, usually between 18 and 24 months.

Palate:
On the palate, Alta Alella Laieta is characterized by freshness and balance. It has a smooth entry, with fine, creamy bubbles that caress the palate. The acidity is well integrated, offering a sensation of freshness that remains throughout the tasting. Flavors of white fruit mingle with hints of nuts and a mineral aftertaste reminiscent of the coastal terroir of the Alella region, near the Mediterranean Sea. The finish is long and elegant, with a delicate touch of pleasant bitterness that invites you to keep enjoying it.

Serving temperature: 8º C

Made in Spain Gourmet pairing This cava is perfect with a wide variety of dishes. Its freshness and complexity make it ideal for pairing with grilled fish, seafood, cold starters such as salads, or even aged cheeses. It is also an excellent choice as an aperitif, especially for celebrations or special moments.

Alta Alella

A way of life A family deeply connected to viticulture. Josep Maria and Cristina have devoted their entire lives to the culture of wine and cava. Their daughters, Mireia and Georgina, grew up surrounded by vineyards, grapes, harvests, and bottles. It is in their blood. Knowledge, passion, perseverance, and dedication. A way of life. And now they are beginning to take the company forward. A way of understanding wine and cava with responsibility, without leaving aside enjoyment, innovation, and a commitment to new trends. They are committed to their environment in order to offer an avant-garde product. Respecting the land to provide a new experience. Enjoying the moment and the landscape. Established since 1991 at the Noucentista estate Can Genís in Alella, just 15 minutes from Barcelona, the winery has always been based on certified organic farming, creating an ecosystem in harmony with the native flora and fauna. Alta Alella is set in a privileged location, on hills close to the Mediterranean Sea, giving it a unique microclimate with maritime influence. The proximity to the sea and the type of soil—mainly calcareous—create an ideal terroir for growing vines, reflected in the freshness, minerality, and elegance of its wines. Bodega Alta Alella is a winery that combines the region’s winemaking tradition with a modern, sustainable approach. Its wines, especially its Cavas and still wines, reflect the quality and purity of the Alella terroir, and its commitment to the environment and organic viticulture makes its products even more special. If you have the opportunity to visit the winery, it is a truly worthwhile experience, both for wine lovers and for those who enjoy the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape.
