Technical sheet:

D.O. Cava

Vintage: 2019

Variety: 40% Xarel.lo, 40% Macabeo, and 20% Parellada.

Alcohol: 11.5 % vol.

Ageing: Minimum ageing of 24 to 30 months in its underground cellars

Tasting note:

Appearance: it shows a very attractive pale yellow colour, rich in golden highlights that culminate in a persistent, generous crown. It has a bright, crystalline appearance, with fine bubbles that rise slowly and gracefully.

Nose: it is surprising both for the intensity of its aromas and for its freshness. Generous, with fragrances reminiscent of apple and citrus, softened by the delicate ageing notes of nuts, cereals, and toast.

Palate: broad and firm, with a full rainbow of flavours ranging from acacia blossom to notes of nuts and freshly baked pastries. Tresor Reserva Brut offers an unrivalled balance between freshness and smoothness on the palate, along with endless nuances that evoke the cherished aromas of a Mediterranean June.

Serving temperature: between 7 and 9 ºC

Geology and Soil:

The freshness, body, and complexity of TRESOR RESERVA BRUT come from a skilful combination of grapes from both young and old vineyards.

These vineyards are located in selected areas of Central and Upper Penedès, with deep, slightly calcareous soils, a planting density of around 2,300 vines/ha, and an average yield of 9,500 kg/ha.

Expert viticulture technicians oversee the work processes of these vines according to sustainability criteria and with deep respect for the environment.

Pairing

At Made in Spain Gourmet we start from the idea that it can be enjoyed at any hour, at any moment, always. On its own or accompanying the unique moments of your life.

It is splendid on its own and with a select aperitif. It is superb with fresh fish, the perfect companion for salads and pasta. Thanks to its unrivalled freshness, it balances spicy dishes, such as fish curry.

Also with excellent 100% acorn-fed ham. And as we always say at MadeinSpain, it pairs with whatever you like.

Production:

TRESOR RESERVA BRUT is made from the traditional varieties of the Penedès. Macabeo brings finesse and freshness; Xarel·lo gives it body; and Parellada adds approachability and perfume.

Each variety is vinified separately from the free-run must obtained by gentle pressing and static settling.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16 -18 °C.

After blending, a very gentle clarification is carried out, followed by tartaric stabilization.

The second fermentation in the bottle follows the traditional method and undergoes a long ageing period that increases its complexity and highlights the subtlety of its tertiary aromas without detracting from its fruity fragrances

Authenticity, a unique territory, rigorous work, the traditional method, and the flavour of the Mediterranean.

Cava is synonymous with excellence, and achieving it requires genuineness. This is guaranteed by the entire production process, which at the same time offers different types of product—according to ageing and sugar content—making Cava one of the most versatile drinks in the world.

To the quality guarantee already provided by the traditional method is added a more demanding classification with the introduction of the Cava de Guarda and Guarda Superior categories. All of this helps to better identify the origin and traceability of each of our little gems and to define more clearly the Cava segments according to their ageing. A unique classification that places D.O. Cava at the forefront of quality sparkling wines made by the traditional method.

To discover its categories is to enter a world of flavours and history… The history that cellar ageing gives to each bottle. The months of ageing determine these categories, from Cava de Guarda (minimum 9 months) to Guarda Superior, with a resting period of more than 18 months (RESERVA), 30 months (GRAN RESERVA), or the highly regarded Cavas de Paraje Calificado, with ageing periods of more than 36 months.

In short, a multitude of options to enjoy—not only the quality of Cava, but also its endless pairing possibilities.

Types of Cava

Versatility is multiplied when we talk about the different types of Cava allowed according to added sugar. Thus, within each category we can also choose according to type. From Brut Nature (no added sugar) to Sweet Cava—ideal for a pleasant after-meal moment—we have endless options including Brut, Extra Brut, Semi-Dry, and Dry. The Gran Reserva and Cava de Paraje categories are only allowed to offer Brut styles (Brut Nature, Extra Brut, and Brut).

Pere Ventura

Caves Pere Ventura was founded in 1992 and serves as the flagship estate of Pere Ventura Family Wine Estates. Pere Ventura founded the cellars that bear his name in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Barcelona, devoted to crafting sparkling wines under the DO CAVA designation, leaving behind the possibility of managing the family wineries. He left everything behind and founded his own winery. It is one of the most select companies in the sector, synonymous with elegance, style, and exclusivity. With a distinctly international outlook, it is present in more than 50 countries and exports over 90% of its production. The Pere Ventura brand is different, original, and unique, offering an unmistakable image that speaks for itself about the product and the values that inspire it: quality, elegance, distinction, and exclusivity. We are sincerely proud to share its philosophy and refined taste for doing things exquisitely. We are convinced that its products will soon be recognized worldwide. With MadeinSpain.store, it is sure to achieve that.
