Señorío de Montanera Iberian salchichón is made with lean trimmings from ham and shoulder, together with other carefully selected extra lean cuts from 100% Iberian acorn-fed pigs. Its seasoning is distinguished by ground and whole black pepper, and grated nutmeg. The proportions of the different ingredients were chosen from among the finest traditional cured sausages made by hand during local pig slaughters, and preserved as one of Señorío de Montanera’s greatest treasures.

When sliced, this Iberian salchichón shows a deep purple-red color, speckled with reddish white. Its refinement and artisanal production offer a fresh cured aroma with a blend of the distinctive nuances of the spices used. Its traditional flavor recalls the finest homemade slaughters of Extremadura.

On the palate it has a meaty, smooth texture, the result of the blend of ham and shoulder trimmings and the burst of black pepper and nutmeg. Its juiciness is extraordinary and leaves a sensation similar to acorn-fed Iberian shoulder, as this is one of the predominant ingredients in its production.

Ingredients: Lean 100% Iberian acorn-fed pork (170gr/100gr finished product), salt, dextrin, pepper, dextrose, nutmeg, antioxidant (E-331), and preservatives (E-252, E250).

Special storage conditions: Keep refrigerated below 7ºC. Directions for use: Non-edible casing; remove before consumption. Open the vacuum pack 15 minutes in advance. If the whole piece is not consumed, it is recommended to refrigerate it again (below 7ºC) inside its original bag. Discard the first slice when resuming consumption. The ideal serving temperature is between 18 and 24ºC.
